Solution to Oil Leakage of Loader Gear Pump

Loader "gear pump oil leakage", refers to the hydraulic oil will skeleton oil seal breakdown and overflow. Gear pump oil leakage is widespread, which seriously affects the normal work of the loader and causes environmental pollution. This paper will analyze the causes of oil leakage of gear pump oil seal in detail and put forward the method to solve the problem

Influence on the quality of hydraulic parts of a loader

1. Oil seal quality: if the oil seal geometry is unqualified, the compression spring is too loose, etc., causing air leakage in the air tightness test, and oil leakage after the gear pump is installed in the host. At this time, the oil seal should be replaced and the material and geometry should be checked (the quality gap between domestic oil seals and foreign advanced oil seals is relatively large).

2. Processing and assembly of the gear pump: If there is a problem in the processing and assembly of the gear pump, the rotation of the gear shaft and the front cover stop are not concentric, which will cause eccentric wear of the oil seal. At this time, check the symmetry and displacement of the front cover bearing hole to the pin hole, and the coaxiality of the skeleton oil seal to the bearing hole.

3. Seal ring material and processing quality: If this problem exists, the seal ring will be cracked and scratched, causing the secondary seal to be lax or even fail, and the pressure oil enters the skeleton oil seal (low pressure channel), thus the oil seal leaks. At this time should check the sealing ring material and processing quality.

5. The front cover oil return channel between the CBG gear pump skeleton oil seal and the sealing ring is not smooth, causing the pressure here to rise, thereby breaking down the skeleton oil seal. Through the improvement here, the oil leakage of the pump has been significantly improved. Its structure is shown in Figure 1.

Influence of Loader Gear Pump and Main Engine Installation Quality

1. The installation of the gear pump and the host requires a coaxiality of less than 0.05. Usually the working pump is installed in the variable speed pump, and the variable speed pump is installed in the gearbox. If the end face of the gearbox or variable speed pump exceeds the runout of the spline shaft rotation, a cumulative error will be formed, causing the gear pump to bear radial force under high-speed rotation, causing the oil seal to leak.

2. Whether the installation gap between the components is reasonable. The outer stop of the gear pump and the inner stop of the variable speed pump, the outer spline of the gear pump and the inner spline of the gearbox spline shaft, whether the clearance fit between the two is reasonable, both of which are related to the oil leakage of the gear pump. Have an impact. Because the inner and outer stops belong to the positioning part, the fit clearance should not be too large; the inner and outer splines belong to the transmission part, the fit clearance should not be too small to eliminate interference.

3. The oil leakage of the gear pump is also related to the spline rolling key. Because the effective contact length between the extended spline of the gear pump shaft and the flower health in the output shaft of the gearbox is short, and the torque transmitted by the gear pump is relatively large when it is working, and its spline bears large torque. Extrusion wear and even key rolling occurs, resulting in huge heat, which causes burns and aging of the rubber lip of the skeleton oil seal, resulting in oil leakage. It is recommended that the OEM should check the strength of the gear pump shaft extension spline when selecting the gear pump to ensure sufficient effective contact length.
