Maintain the normal operation of high temperature gear pumps
The high-temperature gear pump should be regularly inspected and maintained after a period of use to ensure better operation of the high-temperature gear pump.
The methods of operation and maintenance of high temperature gear pump are as follows:
1. The pump should be injected with the delivery liquid when starting.
2. Check the tightness of all pipeline flanges and joints before starting.
3. When starting, the pump should be injected with the delivery liquid. Disk coupling, no friction and collision sound.
4. Before starting, the valves in the suction and discharge pipelines should be fully opened, and it is strictly forbidden to close the valves to start.
5. After verifying the rotation direction of the motor, start the motor.
Measures to improve the operating life of high temperature gear pumps:
Ⅰ. Since the pump body operates at high temperature, hinged supports should be installed on the piping during cold installation to prevent the piping from being displaced after the temperature rises. 
Ⅱ. After the pump body is heated up, the coupling is thermally aligned to avoid additional torque during operation. 
Ⅲ. The pressure measuring point of the pump outlet should be set up with an interlock to stop the alarm, otherwise, once the discharge pipeline is blocked, it is easy to cause damage to the pump body. 
Ⅳ. When the pump is started, when there is no pressure at the outlet, do not blindly increase the speed to prevent premature damage of the shaft or bearing. 
Ⅴ. When cleaning and pipetting, do not use the pump to transport the cleaning liquid. The internal parts should be removed and installed after the pipetting to avoid foreign matter mixed in the pump. 
Ⅵ. The temperature of the heat medium jacket of the pump body can be slightly lower than the heat medium temperature of the front and rear jacket pipes. Because the melt viscosity and the shear rate have a decreasing function relationship, the extrusion of the gear and the shear of the bearing will increase the melt temperature by 3 to 5 °C after passing through the pump. Lowering the temperature of the heat medium can prevent the melt from degrading. The data shows that by reducing the temperature of the bearing area, the bearing capacity of the bearing can be greatly increased, and the output capacity of the gear pump can be increased by 50% only by increasing the speed without replacing the large-capacity pump. 
Ⅶ. Speed ​​up should be carried out slowly, do not make the front and rear pressure rise sharply, so as not to damage the bearing or cause the melt to block the lubricating channel. 
Ⅷ. The melt filter behind the pump outlet should be replaced regularly, and do not operate at high pressure or even the upper pressure limit for a long time. 
Ⅸ. Regular replacement of bearings can save maintenance costs. When it is found that the wear amount on the inner surface of the shaft or bearing is close to the thickness of the hardened layer, the shaft can be used again after grinding, and only the bearing can be replaced, which can prolong the life of the pump shaft by 8 to 10 years. 
Ⅺ. In case of power failure or interruption of heat medium circulation for more than 30min, the pump should be disassembled, cleaned and reassembled to avoid damage to the pump due to poor lubrication of bearings due to melt solidification and cracking.
